September is National Preparedness Month
August 19, 2009

Dear HNC Members,

September is National Preparedness Month and Hurricane Bill is looming in the Atlantic!

We are sharing several resources made available to us by NHF to help you prepare in the event you are faced with an emergency.

  • A poster (pdf - 2.1mb) that outlines specific dates and items to help plan for an emergency.
  • Visit the Centers for Disease Control website at www.cdc.gov where they will have a new tip of the day during the month of September.
  • Information about the NHF Disaster Hotline (pdf - 72kb). The number to call in the event of an emergency is the NHF HANDI number - 1-800-42-HANDI

Please let us know if you need any assistance or resources and most of all, be safe!
