HNC Holiday Celebration
A Fun Time for All and a Time for Giving Back
Warm up and join us at Hemophilia of North Carolina’s (HNC) 2018 Holiday Celebration! All HNC members and their immediate families are invited to attend this annual event, held traditionally on the first Saturday of December. It’s a day to reflect on our successes from the past year, relax, and enjoy each other’s company.
This year, we will be returning to the Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. Enjoy crafts for the kids, games, a delicious lunch, along with a special visit from the Jolly Old Elf from the North Pole, Santa! As always, there will be lots of fun at no cost to HNC members.
Our special guest speaker will be Anita Smith, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, from the Wake Forest Baptist Hemophilia Treatment Center, who will speak about how bleeding disorders treatment, care, and lifestyle has changed through the generations.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Carolina Christmas at the Speedway – one of the largest holiday light shows in the United States happens right here in Concord! Featuring over 3 million lights and a realistic Christmas Village, enjoy the light show while driving around the remarkable 3.75 mile course. Each family will be issued one car pass to drive through the spectacular lights experience! Please indicate on your registration if you would like a car pass.
Giving Back – To keep with the giving spirit, we will be collecting items to benefit the Urban Ministry Center, an organization that aims to end homelessness in the Charlotte area. They are asking for items that meet their greatest need: travel size toothpaste, aerosol deodorant, foot powder, cough drops, travel size soap, and reading glasses.
Hurry now and reserve a space for your family! Please complete and submit the registration form by Monday, November 12, 2018. Acceptance is on a first-come first-served basis. Priority will be given to those affected by a bleeding disorder in the immediate family and who are not affiliated with a specialty pharmacy, home care, or pharmaceutical company that caters to the bleeding disorders community. If you have questions about the event, please contact Gillian Schultz, HNC Program Manager, at 800-990-5557 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
