HNC Holiday Celebration
A Fun Time for All and a Time for Giving Back
Join fellow Hemophilia of North Carolina (HNC) members to celebrate the close of another successful year at the 2019 HNC Holiday Celebration! All HNC members and their immediate families are invited to attend this annual event, traditionally held on the first Saturday of December. It’s a day to reflect on our successes from the past year, relax, and enjoy each other’s company.
This year we will be heading to Durham. Enjoy crafts for the kids, games, a delicious lunch, along with a special visit from the Jolly Old Elf from the North Pole, Santa! As always, there will be lots of fun at no cost to HNC members.
Our special guest speaker will be Curtis Gray, LCSW, licensed clinical social worker for the Hemophilia Treatment Center at UNC Chapel Hill. He will speak on the importance of managing stress and your bleeding disorders through the holiday season.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Durham Museum of Life & Science – Following the Holiday Celebration, join fellow HNC members at the Durham Museum of Life & Science. Only 10 minutes from the hotel, the museum includes a two-story interactive science center, one of the largest butterfly houses on the East Coast, over 60 species of animals, and more! HNC has a limited number of tickets available. Please register early if you are interested in attending and HNC will follow up with you.
Giving Back – In the giving spirit, we will be collecting items to benefit Ronald McDonald House of Durham & Wake, an organization that provides housing for parents near hospitals where their children are receiving care. They are asking for items that meet their greatest needs: disinfectant spray or wipes, sugar packets, dryer sheets, toothbrushes (children & adult sizes), and 20oz. paper bowls.
Hurry now and reserve a space for your family! Please complete and submit the registration form by Friday, November 22, 2019. Acceptance is on a first-come first-served basis. Priority will be given to those affected by a bleeding disorder in the immediate family and who are not affiliated with a specialty pharmacy, home care, or pharmaceutical company that caters to the bleeding disorders community. If you have questions about the event, please contact Gillian Schultz, HNC Program Manager, at 800-990-5557 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
