Understanding Health Insurance

Thursday, October 29, 2020 – 7:00pm-8:00pm

This event is over.

Health insurance is something that we all need! But understanding your options can be confusing. Whether you select an insurance plan through the Marketplace (Affordable Care Act (ACA)/Obamacare), have private health insurance through your employer, or are on Medicaid or Medicare, there’s a lot to know!

Join us on October 29 at 7pm for the presentation, Understanding Health Insurance. Virginia Chandler, RN, Clinical Educator with Genentech will answer questions including: Why you might be looking at your health insurance options and when you can make a change of insurance? She will also discuss types of health care insurance, and what to keep in mind when thinking about your options.

With Open Enrollment on the ACA Marketplace taking place from November 1-December 15 and many private health care plans having you select your insurance plan for 2021 at this time, please join us for this informative presentation. Everyone who attends will receive a gift card for DoorDash, GrubHub, or Uber Eats.

We hope you will join us for the screening and to start a very important conversation about a very serious matter in the bleeding disorders community. Please register by Wednesday, October 28, 2020. If you have any questions, contact the HNC Office at events@hemophilia-nc.org, or by phone at 919-319-0014
