HNC/HSC 2020 Virtual Teen Retreat
Hemophilia of North Carolina and Hemophilia of South Carolina gratefully acknowledge the pledge of support from the following companies for the HNC/HSC 2020 Virtual Teen Retreat:
For anyone age 13-18 who has a bleeding disorder or has a sister, brother or parent with a bleeding disorder.
Bring a friend!
Hemophilia of North Carolina (HNC) and Hemophilia of South Carolina (HSC) are pleased to once again offer the Teen Retreat for ALL teens in the bleeding disorders community – this year to be held virtually! Though this year’s event will look a little different than past years, anyone ages 13-18 who has a bleeding disorder, has a brother or sister with a bleeding disorder, or has a parent with a bleeding disorder is invited to attend! Plus, like other years, you may “bring” a friend (they can login separately)!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Teen Retreat will be held over two days, and will provide fun, fellowship, and education! We are excited to be partnering with Victory Junction for fun activities to engage you and your friends. Share your interests, passions, and ideas about how you can make a difference for yourself and in the community, learn about self-advocacy, sharing your story, and important life-skills that you are developing as a teenager, all while having a great time with your friends from North and South Carolina. Make new friends and connect with old friends.
HNC/HSC will be able to reimburse everyone who attends the event ($40 per person) with a DoorDash, GrubHub, or Uber Eats gift card. Details about receiving the e-gift card will be provided to everyone who registers.
Anyone who attends this year’s Teen Retreat will receive priority registration for the 2021 Teen Retreat.
Because we are using a virtual platform for this year’s Teen Retreat, participants must by 13 years of age in order to participate independently. Please read the Zoom policy below:
Your personal information will kept private. No personal information gathered or used by HNC during the event will be shared with outside parties or vendors. We will endeavor to ensure that all online meetings are safe and secure to the best of our abilities. Chat logs, location data, activity data, video and audio, and other available information within the Zoom meeting platform may be archived to ensure the safety of our participants. HNC will control audio and video settings of the meetings, sessions, and other communications for safety, privacy, and ease of use. The use of the private chat function within Zoom will be disabled for the duration of the event.
